    Episode 7 http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=8017

    Episode 8 http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=8040&v=trending

Not much to say on episode 7 as not much happened lol

Episode 8 though was amazing, I love Nora I smirked as she said her name interrupting Ruby who said "YANG!" I think Nora is going to be one of my favourite characters because of her energy .

I was going to point out that moment with Nora too, lol. And it's funny how much you like her, because I instantly thought "She's so Habbo" xD.

There were a few things in Ep 8 that reminded me of other things. The scorpion... While it's a big stretch, it did make me think of how FF has had a theme of having scorpion enemies as the first bosses in the beginning of the games (FFVII, XIII).

The raven or crow reminded me of Shadow of the Colossus when it sat on the broken tower ruin. It was just taken further when the group was chased into a tower/bridge complex. You don't need to play far into the game to know what I mean.
Another thing I was reminded of with the whole chase and bridges thing is the very first Dead Fantasy chapter, near the end when Tifa shows up.

I also wanted to comment on something earlier, and now that I am posting it makes sense to include it. The themed look of the monsters. It really reminds me of Bleach and Hollows. Not sure if he's just using those kinds of creatures in this test area or if it's a permanent thing applied to all his monster designs in RWBY. All in all, I do feel the show is very "inspired" so far. There are many other things I could mention as well... Not saying it's a bad thing, because of course there are many original things about the show, but the lack of something "new" that isn't battle-related is a little scarce. Heck, this whole forest test reminds me of the second chunin exam in Naruto.
This also once again reminds of how the whole school reminds me of Garden and SeeD... And the beginning and ending result (with the team making etc) reminded me of the Dollet Mission and revolving events.

Oh, and what was with Blake fighting the Crow solo? It was almost directly referencing Advent Children and Cloud's fight against Bahamut Shin, looool.

So what DID I like? Well, the battles and use of weapons... Really liked the way the 2 giant creatures were defeated... And of course Nora. I think I'm going to like her too :P
