Final Fantasy VIII for PC [Steam] (with enhancements)

I get so happy when Square shows that they haven't forgotten about their titles (even if they do it with some titles many times over o_o ).

Final Fantasy VIII is finally seeing a special treatment, arguably much like FFVII did a while back. What we know so far is that there will be high resolution enhancements, which alone is something to squee about. You can read the rest from the article.

It would also seem that this title has been worked on (or at least planned) since 2010. Looking so very much forward to seeing what they will do with this game and how it will play out >_<.

I recently got a new game friendly laptop, partially with FFVII on Steam in mind. Little did I know VIII would follow suit. It's meant to be.

It'll also mark the first time I play any PC FF, whether it's VII or VIII. And with VIII it would seem that I finally can try the PocketStation part of the game. Guuuuh. There is ALWAYS something new to be had with an FF! <3

As promised, FFVIII is now out on Steam in all its glory with enhancements and... CHOCOBO WORLD CONFIRMED!

I think they made a lot out of the trailer, so it's definitely worth watching! And now they have some of the official artwork pieces in proper scales and resolution! Something I have waited years for, thinking it'd never happen because it's an old game xD.
And again, Chocobo World. A first for many players around the world.

The odd thing though, is that I seem to have forgotten about this till now, because I only barely remember this thread and was going to make a new one, when I saw this thread with a post dating back to the announcement xD. So most of what I was going to say has already been said in the first post. Guuuuh ;_;.
