Did you ever notice the FFXIII Verses Trailer music is in there, but no News on the damn game? Such a shame. I game them $0.99 for the thing. One would hope it goes towards SE so they can do something with it. /frustration

Voices are indeed tricky. I'm still having the most trouble with Seymour's battle theme. I just can't get it
. It doesn't even have voices!
We have arrived is a good one. It says FF series, but I didn't know it was from type-0. That's cool I find. I wonder if they'll add more DLC to theat as more games come out. I would like that.
I unlocked my first character last night. Unfortunately I can't use him until my correct characters are maxed out. So close though. Yay for multiple bosses in the chaos shrine.

Lol xD. Yeah, I do think I remember Seymour Battle being one of the tricky ones. There are many ways to classify songs in Theat, I find. The ones I call "tricky" are songs like that one. It's not that it is the hardest song as such, but the trickiness makes it near or arguably just as hard as the ones I label hard. 2 that instantly come to mind when I think of the hard ones, are 2 of the ones I had the very most trouble with on Ultimate.
The Man with the Machine gun (FFVIII, must be the hardest of them all imo. God DAMN that one is hard to get through without missing.)
Battle with the Four Fiends (FFIV).
There were a few others that were up there too, but I don't remember exactly which ones right now.
And congratulations on the new character! Unlocking characters becomes an aphrodisiac, lol.
Also, about DLC, I don't think they will make more DLC for the game, sadly. They had a goal of "at least 50" songs and they just about hit that amount with the last DLC. While I do recall it was said they'd consider making more later on, I am almost certain they won't. Chances are that they are going to make a sequel instead. And speaking of that, I am still hoping they will make more Theat's even if it's for KH or Tomb Raider, especially because they themselves said they were interested in doing it for those 2 franchise soundtracks!

Indeed. It makes me wonder. Why is Man with the Machine Gun a song, but Laguna is nowhere in sight? Kind of suspicious, don't you think?
Question for you then. Getting SSS would mean getting a perfect score, right? Can this only be done when Stoic? Or is Stoic mode kind of cheating because of the bonus points?
I did beat Seymour's theme after that piece of advice you gave me. Now all the basic songs seem too slow and I always mess up, and the Ultimate songs are perfectly paced, and I still mess up.

S is the rank for getting perfect criticals while having equipment on. 79999-(how many 9's? lol). SSS is for getting perfect criticals while stoic (so yes, to answer your question). And that's all 9's.
Whether it's cheating or not, I really don't think it is at all. The songs are mostly balanced in a way that you can get the amount of points you need while staying alive. If you go have equipment, you live longer and have less frustration hitting notes. This might just give you enough points for whatever rank you'll get. If you go Stoic, you face the challenge of HAVING to complete the song without getting hit too much, which leaves less room for error and therefor motivates you to get through the level and hit more nodes.
Dunno if that makes sense. but the point is that you could end up with the same result. But when you're "good" enough you definitely get more points with Stoic since you shouldn't be missing much or at all regardless of whether you have equipment on or not.
Also, I played the entire game with all my equipment on because I was too stubborn to take off and re-equip my gear, lol. But after that, to get trophies and record stars, I stripped my characters and went for SSS over my S ranks.
So no, it's not cheating, and it's more rewarding to do it both ways in the end.

I've been back and forth between the two, and yes, what you said does mane sense. When playing the chaos notes, I HAVE to have equipment on. I don't want to fail :O
Mind you, another question, getting the "Big Bad"...What does that mean? Does it mean what I fear it means?
