Final Fantasy XV [Versus title change confirmed]

It's finally announced and shown at E3!

FFXV IS Versus. It was shown in a mindblowing trailer. They actually did it.

Like said with KHIII, I'm holding back my full opinion till my mind has calmed down a bit more and E3 is over so we have all possible information! But I'm mindshattered by the trailer and the freaking fucktard awesome footage, both in-game and CG. It's incredible, and some of the gameplay looks like you are playing a movie, it's ridiculous, just look at the ending. WHOAOAOAOAO.

The game won't be a PS4 exclusive.

Here comes Shinji Hashimoto, brand director for Final Fantasy, to tell us more. "I was so excited that I had difficulty falling asleep last night," he tells us. "I'd like to remind you that even for us it's a huge amount of joy that we were finally able to announce Final Fantasy XV. Well, everyone is talking about the next-gen consoles at this year's E3. FFXV is being developed with a tool called Direct X 11. With this tool it's possible to port the title to various hardware. Following yesterday's announcement [for PS4] we would like to announce that we are porting Final Fantasy XV to Xbox One as well."

No release window for FFXV, but it was notably not mentioned as being part of this fiscal year, which ends on March 31 of 2014.

Also, XV has already had sequels confirmed! The lead was at the end of the E3 trailer with the whole "Part of the Versus Epic" text, but now it's confirmed.

... *punches Square executives in the nose* What is the matter with them? Versus XIII was to be an excellent entry in the FNC universe and its story had already accounted for that. To have it postponed this long only to become a half-assed Final Fantasy XV entry is... disappointing... Also... now it's to have sequels, as well? What's Square thinking? Are all future numbered Final Fantasies going to have sequels and prequels now? O_o
