The conversation part of it would be lame, but I was really digging the combat aspect. Especially since it's essentially seemless.

I think it would be incredibly frustrating/imprecise for everything except abilities. They said "move up", if you wanted to give a more accurate command, you'd have to use the controller.

I don't see it being too much of a bother, especially if you are playing on Normal or Casual.
Insanity and Hardcore would probably cause you to stick to the classic, but I see this working to its full potential on lower difficulities.
Casual doesn't count. D: But seriously, with the Wii U on its way, I can see this type of thing becoming more prevalent in gaming: multi-platform games with one gimmicky extra feature unique to certain consoles.

So an image of the alternate appearance pack that comes with the pre-order leaked yesterday and fans are shitstorming, mostly over Ash's redesign but also new character James Vega's dudebroness:

In Bioware's defence, Kaidan looks good. Ashley however, looks like a completely different character. I can understand why her fans are frustrated that she's gone from a soldier to a skirt-wearing, high-heeled floozy (lol Miranda). Good job I killed her off both times. I don't Liara as a Justicar, visually or as a potential story-element, and everything that's been said about Vega's awful design I agree with. He looks like someone from Jersey Shore.
Bioware have released a statement on their forums though these designs aren't finalised, etc. etc.

Casey Hudson tweets:
Is it just me or does that seem to suggest that characters will have armour as well as casualwear? Because that would be cool for some characters, but I can't really see it working for e.g. Tali, Kasumi, Miranda, Mordin, etc. Not that they're playable of course, but I can dream.Lots of questions on the CE appearances image. It's an early mockup for color - faces etc aren't final, in particular James and Liara.
Also lots of questions about Ashley. We've only showed her in a jacket outfit & its CE variant. She will also have full armor and helmet.
And thank God they're redesigning steroid-man and recolouring Liara. I really liked her blue/white LotSB armour.

Vote for canon fem-Shep. Click. I went with 3 but 1 is good too. I like 4 too, but she doesn't seem like Shep. The blonde is winning, not keen. >_>
Sexual Shep

Little Brown Shepard's are the best.
But you're implying I'll be playing Fem-Shep.
There is only one Shepard. And his name is John.
