    LOL! See that helps xD.

You don't need to know how to play gw2 to see what is going on, if you have played ffxiv you can easily understand since it's similar. I'm not dodging the AOE's, my play style includes standing around while button mashing, at one point you can see me standing around doing nohing since I'm hitting attacks that haven't cooled down yet, I failed both mission one by dying and one by moving too far away from the cargo and attacking a wolf instead of the krait.
There were AoE's? o.o... See, I couldn't even tell. I didn't understand much of what was going on in the battles you showed, other than the obvious. You and the monster attack each other and you die-but-don't-die (Oo). Since I don't know how strong enemies you can defeat are supposed to be, and how strong those monsters were compared to you, I can only judge on what I see but have no concept of whether you are just bad or the monsters are too strong.
See now? It really can make a difference. And for me, personally, it is a lot more difficult to fully understand what is going on because each MMO works on vast sets of abilities and gameplay and most of them vary a great deal. Only thing I take on myself for this video is that I think it was boring (because it was an MMO and didn't look too exciting) and didn't really try to study much of what was going on other than the obvious mentioned above.

And I don't know why you say "I see why it is free to play" it almost sound like you are saying that in a negative way, what do you mean?
I really don't hope my answer is gonna start some sort of major discussion, so I'm only answering because you ask.

You could say I mean it in a negative way, yes. Not in a scornfull way, but there isn't much positive about it. I just feel the game doesn't look like something you'd need money to fund. The technical quality level isn't very high. Not that it is LOW, per say, but it definitely doesn't look like a game that has the money behind it to enhance, fix and evolve itself beyond the scale of a regular game.
I'm sure it's more fun to play and look at if you're actually playing it, and besides 15 minutes is way too little to fully judge an entire MMO, so I am just going by the smoothness, the visuals and the seemingly unrefined details apparant in the video.

I am hoping my words won't be overly analyzed and "disproved" as it is my opinion and I take MMOs in general into account. Not simply XIV, since comparing those 2 would be downright unfair either way xD.

The mechanic works like so if you die providing you haven't been killed in while you can try and quickly heal yourself or throw rocks as a last ditch kill, however if you have died quite a bit then you have less time to either heal yourself or kill the enemy, and there were red circles on the ground but since Im the one that has been playing they are only obvious to me, obvious and yet i still didn't dodge or move around. ><

No lol I'm not going to disprove anything, I was really just generally interested at the comment on it being free to play I had thought it might had been a comment on the visuals but wasn't quite sure but I always said that ffxiv was the best looking one, SE are experts in the graphics <3 <3 <3, but to be fair to GW2 what you are seeing isn't it's best side. To avoid lag when recording I reset all the graphics to low so there are no effects, no shadows etc... The game can look much, much better than what I have shown I can play on medium but if I go to the highest quality then it's unplayable but however looks gorgeous. Despite being free to play they make their money through micro transations so I assure you this game is being backed by money only they are getting it through a different way, and they update just as much as any other MMO. It's kinda why though I want to see GW2 on a console I don't want to buy a really expensive high end computer just to see everything the game offers.

I did understand your explanation about the throwing rocks and near death system. Just sounded a lot funnier when put the way I did 8D.

Yeah there was no assault on the game. And I did say I wouldn't bring XIV into it for reasons like what you said about graphics. It's not fair to compare, since XIV isn't your average MMO in terms of graphics.

Regarding micro transactions. These require the player to get hooked in the first place. I don't really think that makes a difference once enough people play though, since the "OMG FREE" surely is the carrot that keeps the game appealing to newcomers.
I just dunno if this game has enough allure to keep itself alive and popular as certain other subscription based MMOs... But I am not really a big MMO know-it-all so I am not saying it is impossible... Just saying I think what I saw in those 15 minutes matched the free subscription. I have not deemed GW2 "crap" yet, lol.

Well the first Guild Wars was also free to play and was very big, I know in my video I bumped into absolutely nobody but they are loads of people playing just so happens I was playing at an odd time and the game had just updated with new story content which i gather is where most people will be working on. As the first guild wars was a success I'm pretty sure guild wars 2 will be as well, also they keep their box sales at full price of a normal game.

... I should have recorded the living story! >< That would have made the video more exciting

Had a laugh. Hearing you swear like this was new but just goes to show what the mini-game brings out in you out of pure annoyance xD.

My favorite part was around 2/3 in when you finally have a good run and almost make it to the finish before you get hit and shit hits the fan. That "fuck!" was priceless.

Awesome vid. And the quality and angle of this vid was great this time.
