I levelled up a bit yesterday by fighting Gancanagh and Mirochus in Archylte Steppe and used the essences and orbs to level up my Cichu to level 70 and my Silver Chocobo to level 45.
I can now beat Lightning and Amodar using just RAV/RAV/COM and COM/RAV/COM with the odd potion thrown in, in about 7 minutes - quick enough to 5 star it.
Beat them about 5 times yesterday, no crystal yet.

Finally got Lightning. Took 5 battles. Not too interested in getting Amodar yet.

Got Amodar in my first fight tonight then switched to taking him out first and was doing the fight in 3 or 4 minutes. Got Lightning on the third try.

I can't stress enough how my dlc is glitched. I lost count of the battles. Still no Lightning, no Amodar.

    Got Omega though.

I got Lightning long ago, but last night I got Omega and Amodar, so that's all of them... But I'm not done there. I still need to win Sergeant's Badge as a rare drop from Amodar. Will wait till I have the proper items/skills to increase rare drops and then farm the crap out of him. (Just need 1 copy to be satisfied though, lol).

All of them are really pretty great in battle. While I work on upgrading Omega and Amodar, I have fun with a maxed Lightning and Sazh. The DLC characters are really worth it if you want strong teams. Of course you can also work some of the ordinary monsters to a point where they may be more efficient or at least near equal. Depends on strategy and preference as usual.
