Speculation - Lightning episode dlc (massive spoilers)

Anyone have much hope for this answering anything about the ending? I still have some sort of hope left, that what left of the story can be saved, somehow. But I don't see how they can fit it into a dlc pack. Square have promised that this will answer alot.

I found nothing wrong with the ending. Tired of happy-go-lucky endings.

Given that Lightning got bored of Caius, Serah and Noel and turned herself into crystal, I don't think this DLC will solve anything. It'll probably be the gap between XIII and XIII-2 rather than post-XIII-2.

I found nothing wrong with the ending. Tired of happy-go-lucky endings.

It didn't have to be a happy go lucky one, it just had to have a ending, the game doesn't even feel like it has one since it answered nothing.

Anyway I will be disappointed with the dlc if it is just a gap filler and doesn't answer anything post story, I am truly hoping it will be both a gap filler and post story ending.

I don't think the Lightning episode will "change" the ending outcome. But can't be sure either.

And the ending is fine as it is. I don't see what it did not "answer"...

Well questions like what happened to all the characters when the world was created into Valhalla? That's a pretty big one right there, we can't be sure that they were wiped from existance. The ending just felt that it got cut off right in the middle of the action. This is one of the questions that I hope will shed some light on in the dlc.

And no Ben, I do not want to see a ffxiii-3 O_O.

The whole thing feels a bit like FFX Tidus. Afterall, what "happened" to him in the end?

^Yeah but FFX gave some explaination to that, through the main story and also if you visited the temples the Fayth would give more information about where Tidus would go. However like I said with this game it just cuts off, and leaves you no explaination about where the characters went, it's an unconclusive ending. The world changes into Valhalla and we're left wondering if the characters survived.

Yes ofcourse ffxiii-2-2, I still don't want it
