Well my friends just bought this for me during my birthday... so I decided to give it a go, so far seems pretty fun except my laptop sucks so it kinda lags sometimes.

There is 5 classes to choose from, Monk, Barbarian, Wizard, Demon Slayer, Witch Doctor. I think ( I only started yesterday)

anyhows has anyone else played the game?

I know pvp Isn't out yet but when It does I wanna make an really annoying to kill class/build... but meh im content just running around and killing zombies for the time being :D

    :alcoholic: :haha:

It's one of those games I haven't played but really want to play some day. If someone gets the PS3 version when it comes out, I'll try and borrow it from them, otherwise I'll wait for it to drop in price and get it myself. Do not want to miss out.

I'll reserve my full impression for when I get to play the full version of the game, but I tried the PS3 demo a week ago and I was kinda disappointed. Many important things from Diablo I and II were there. The music, the sounds, the characters, the creatures... The moodsetting and surroundings... The story... Deckard... Nearly all of it. But I was completely put off by the in-game graphics. I've known all along that the look of the new game was less "mature" than in the former titles, but after getting over how the characters now looked, I figured I'd be able to get through playing it just fine. For some reason it doesn't work that way for me. There are some nice new effects and gameplay elements to play around with, but those graphics still just kill it almost entirely for me. It's not the Diablo I know. It's not scary, gritty and uniquely compelling. It just looks standard. And to add to my bad impression, the battles in this game are EXTREMELY repetitive. In Diablo I & II, I could spend hours fighting similar enemies and still have a lot of fun with it. But in this game it feels like it's just the same battles leading you TOO slowly forward, and it's utterly predictable where enemies will show up and how they will make an entrance.
I must sadly say I found it so boring in the end that I ended up turning off the demo right at the last boss of the demo. And mind you that this demo is LONG, and I tend to never back out when I start something I intend to complete.

But like I said, I'm not fully judging the game yet. I have yet to try the full game and I will make an exception and do my first playthrough for this game in multi-player with someone else I know who has the game (or will have later at least). The 2-player experience might be vastly better...

Another reason why I am not entirely digging a hole for this game is that I honestly was wanting the demo to be much shorter so I could play some FFXIV. Didn't happen, demo too long.

So yeah, these are my first impressions. I really hope my mind will change later, as I still very much enjoy the previous immortal Diablo titles.

My wife is actually playing the PS3 version, and beat it. She enjoyed the game very much. The only thing I'm concerned about with the Diablo series, the expansions. They do NOT know if they are going to put expansions on current gen systems.
