So I'm getting some money from an insurance settlement. The woman says I can only use about $600, would prefer me to get closer to $500 for a new computer or building a new computer. Halp?

If you want a quality computer, pitch in some money of your own. If you want something that's shit with little RAM, spend the $500. eBay has some deals like that, but I really don't know which direction to point you towards.
Let us know what you find.

You can build a decent comp for $500. Look up parts on newegg or something like that. Look for deals and such
I'm like you.....I have no name - Mr. X

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. (This hasn't changed since 2003 oO)
AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core 3.4 GHz
8 GB of Ram DDR3 1600
MSI 970A-G43 Motherboard
Gigabyte Radeon HD 7770
120 GB SSD
That's the computer. It is running fantastic. I can't wait too run games with more than 3 FPS
bahahaha get more ram!!! :D im sure there's more slots to fill =p
why? because you can... well with my laptop i did it cos I didnt have enough ram... so I bumped it from 2gb ram to 8gb ram =p stupid operating systems taking up most of the ram...
