Open Beta begins tomorrow? Delayed

This is probably your only chance to play FFXIV for free:

The open beta for Final Fantasy XIV on PC will begin tomorrow.

From 2am GMT on September 1, players will be able to participate in the open beta for Square Enix's MMO.

The firm said that users can transfer their name from the open beta to the full version at launch, provided that the chosen World is the same.

The full game will be available from September 22 for special edition owners and from September 30 for other users across Europe.

Looking to at long last try out Final Fantasy XIV with the start of the game's open beta tomorrow? Bad news! The open beta has been pushed back.

The game's beta portal site delivered the last minute notice today. Apparently, major bugs were discovered in the game, forcing the delay beyond the scheduled 9/1 11:00am start. Further specifics were not shared.

Square Enix promised an announcement once the new date is finalized. For details on taking part in the beta, access the beta portal site.

Along with the completion on investigation and correction of the critical issue, we have decided to begin FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test on Sep. 1, 2010 at 19:00 (PDT).
Starting on Sep. 1, 2010 at 19:00 (PDT), acquisition of registration code required for FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test will be available.

This is for North American players. For players in Europe and Japan, the beta will begin on September 2 due to the time difference.

I never played the beta because I fail. After 27 hours of downloading I finally get to sign in screen right? Can't remember password. that's okay, happens all the time I'll just go to my profile and change it but noooo, not without my current password. That's okay, I can use the password recovery feature right? My face when there's no other option than use security question.

How many times can I spell my mother's maiden name wrong right?
