So far this is a clean install for the most part. I brought back everything I could but excluded the mods. Are there any mods you would like to come back, like achievements, experience, journals, etc... The forum is for the community, so let me know what you want already!
I think in order for this to work this forum needs:
New skins
Avatars
An arcade
I do love this forum and would love to see it return with a vengence but without the members we are going to be a dead forum, so we need better advertising too.

Skins foremost. Just a few quick ones. It generally causes less iritation when browsing the forums. Anything else can be talked about once that's done.

Things are quickly falling into place.
Mark just left for the day but he will have a skin back up probably tonight or tomorrow.
Fortunately I have every freakin' skin and banner we have ever used. I forgot how many there were.
I'm going to post another update on what's going on since Derek seems to have disappeared or maybe he is just away or busy with his RL stuff.
At any rate how many people bought VIP memberships? More explained later but i didn't know he was selling them and they were not going through our ffx2 PP account which Derek has no access to.

We get a butt load of traffic to our sites which I am going to revamp. That alone will send thousands of additional monthly visitors to the forum.
The addition of some skins and adding some links to some of my other sites will also driver more traffic.
Overall it just wasn't fresh enough and honestly needs a face lift bad. This is what Derek was working on since May or so but I think maybe it was still too old school for most visitors.
Adding some social networking aspects and a FB page will bring it a little up to date. Plus maybe adding some viral marketing aspect to the site will also get more lurkers contributing.
Tons of stuff but I need ideas from everyone here so I can get it growing.
From my experience the vip memberships were pretty much useless, yes it gave you a few perks like larger avi size and stuff but that could be something that could be added in a store hack if you guys could add one of those. I know there was a special chatting area in the vip lounge where you could chat but that was pretty much it. i think if there were vip memberships again then there should be more to them, but i dont know what
Ah all the spam's gone! A shoutbox would be lovely!
If the RPG did return I'll eat my hat we haven't had an rpg in a very long time. I remember blogs being quite a nice feature.

Yes an RPG will start up, I want to go through and clean up the forums a bit. Theres a lot of section that dont get a lot of attention and arent really needed. I'm going to whip up a good list of forums then make some changes. Right after that, comes the RPG.
Blogs perhapse too, those were pretty cool
