FINAL FANTASY XIV

It's here... Unsurprisingly. After the way they announced FFXIII before FFXII even was released in EU, I had sort of expected them to announce FFXIV soon, but jesus, this is half a year before FFXIII is even released in Japan xD.

*droooools* So there's the good news and the bad news. I don't know if I want to go into super-hype mode or be a bit more reluctant. As sweet and dreamy as it looks and sounds, this will be an ONLINE game for the PS3. That's right. An online game again... If it will be an MMORPG like FFXI is still uncertain, but this shows us a bit of what I guess we can expect in the future. FFXI wasn't just a black sheep... Maybe we can expect these pretty often now ;_;... Make no mistake, I love the way it looks and want to play it but... I can never get the time to play Online games so for me and MANY this really sucks.

Supposedly it will be released sometime not too long after FFXIII's releases are over but no-one knows for sure. There isn't really much info other than that it's a PS3 exclusive so far, and it's Online (and to be released in a not so far future for once).

Yeah, SE is famous for dodging the rules and using their own methods to trick people into paying for their services :P. But this may very well be what will get me to play more Online games. The more I think about it, the worse it seems. Especially with the PS3 release of FFXI in the future. I'll have a much easier time getting around it with my PS3 than my PC. The only thing I hope I can still get to play on the PS3 is Tetra Master ._. ... I loved that little game.

The animation looks a lot like Vana'diel mixed with Ivalice tweaked on a PS3 engine. Sweeeet.
